How-to guide
Nittei Taro is a free scheduling tool with no sign-up. Just create an event, share the URL, and have participants answer with ○/△/×, and the date that works for everyone becomes clear at a glance. This guide walks you through the flow from creation to tallying so that first-time users won’t get lost.
Three simple steps
- 1
Set candidate dates and granularity, then create
Enter the event name, the period you want to coordinate, and the time granularity, choose an edit PIN, and create the event.
- 2
Share the generated URL with participants
Once created, a shareable URL for participants is generated. Just send it via chat or email — participants can open it without signing up.
- 3
Collect ○/△/× responses and tally automatically
As participants respond to each candidate, everyone’s answers are tallied into a table so the best date is obvious at a glance.
The sections below explain each step in more detail.
1. Create an event
Fill in the creation form on the home page. The fields are as follows.
- Event name (required) — a name participants will recognize, e.g. “Team weekly meeting.”
- Organizer name (required) — the host’s name; it is shown to participants too.
- Event details (optional) — free text for notes such as the venue or what to bring.
- Adjustment period (start/end date) — the range to generate candidate dates for.
- Time granularity — choose full day, half day, hourly, or custom (explained in the next section).
- Edit PIN (4–8 digits) — the code used later to edit dates and participants.
- Deletion date — can be set up to 4 months from creation; data is deleted automatically after it.
The edit PIN cannot be shown again after creation. It is required to add/remove dates and manage participants, so keep it safe.
2. Choosing the time granularity
Choose how finely to generate candidates. Pick from these four to match your needs.
- Full day — treats each day as a single “all-day” slot. For day-level scheduling.
- Half day — splits each day into AM and PM. For half-day coordination.
- Hourly — splits 9:00–18:00 into one-hour slots. When you want to pin down the time.
- Custom — freely set start/end times and the interval (minutes) for finer control.
3. Detailed custom-slot settings
When you choose “custom,” in addition to start/end times and interval you get “advanced settings” and a “preview.” You can build each slot’s label by combining the following commands.
[time]— replaced by the slot’s time (e.g. 9:00–10:00).[num(start,end,dir)]— inserts a sequential number. Defaults to ascending from 1 to the slot count; pass 1 as the third argument for descending.[tag(name)]— adds a tag used for filtering on the response/view screens (it does not appear in the label itself).
For example, [time][num]限目 renders as “9:00–10:00 Period 1.” Setting the “simultaneous count” to 2 or more creates several slots at the same time at once. In the preview you can check one day’s layout and insert “breaks” between slots.
4. Excluding weekdays and holidays
Check “exclude specific weekdays/holidays” to leave out particular weekdays (like weekends) or individually chosen dates from candidate generation in bulk. Exclusions apply only to dates within the adjustment period.
5. Sharing the URL with participants
When you create an event, a shareable URL for participants is generated. Just send it via chat, email, or messaging apps, and participants can open the response screen directly without signing up. The share URL and the edit PIN are separate, so you don’t need to tell participants the PIN.
6. How participants respond
Participants open the share URL, enter their name, and answer each candidate with ○ (yes), △ (maybe), or × (no). They can attach a note (reason) to △, such as “works at this time.” Responses can be changed any number of times later.
7. Checking the results
On the view screen, a “participants × dates” table shows everyone’s responses at a glance. The row for the date with the most ○ is highlighted automatically to guide your choice. You can also use these filters:
- “All ○” / “All ○/△” — narrows to only the dates that meet the condition.
- Tags — for events with tags, filter the displayed dates with the tag buttons (multiple selections allowed).
8. Editing dates and participants
Add or remove dates and manage participants from “Edit” on the view screen. Entering the edit screen requires the edit PIN you set at creation. Changing the PIN invalidates any previously issued edit access.
9. About automatic data deletion
After the deletion date you set at creation passes, the event and its response data are deleted automatically. Since unneeded data doesn’t linger, you can use it with peace of mind.
